Lightware Zrt., the globally renowned Hungarian audiovisual solutions company, is expanding its footprint in the country. With two investment projects of nearly EUR 23.8 million, they are enhancing their Budapest headquarters with an R&D project and establishing a new office in Szeged dedicated to the development and support of professional audiovisual products. These investments will create a total of 43 high value-added jobs.
Since 1998, Lightware has been serving the AV world from Budapest with its innovative products and services. As an audiovisual manufacturer, their portfolio includes custom-developed software, AV switching systems, matrix switches, and event management systems. The company gained international recognition in 2006 at the prestigious ISE exhibition in Brussels, where they debuted a pioneering innovation – the world’s first 8x8 DVI matrix, a fully digital video multiplexer supporting HD resolution.
Thanks to continuous product development, Lightware has established its own AV product line and evolved into Europe’s largest AV manufacturer. Their products are now available on four continents in 30 countries, with over 400 employees across 18 offices addressing costumer needs. The company collaborates with international partners such as Google, Cisco, Tata, Netflix, Microsoft, and KPMG.
As a Hungarian enterprise, Lightware has always prioritized keeping its product development activities in Hungary, a commitment underscored by its recent domestic investment decisions.
The new R&D project at the Budapest engineering center aims to develop a new generation UX-driven audiovisual, USB and data transmission interfaces and software product line Meanwhile, the new Szeged office will focus on developing and supporting products for the professional audiovisual market.
The two projects with an investment volume of nearly EUR 23.8 million will create a total of 43 high value-added jobs.
